About: Jason Bouvier Bristol

Jason Bouvier’s professional resume includes volunteer coaching, teaching, and membership with organizations that promote health and wellness. As a Praxis Examination-certified Health and Physical Education professional, Jason Bouvier teaches kindergarten through 12th grade. Jason Bouvier promotes a lifetime of fitness for his students and sports players. Jason Bouvier started to coach in 2004 as Camp Counselor for the Giamatti Little League Baseball Camp. Ensuring the safety and development for teen and pre-teen attendees, Jay Bouvier directed schedules for recreational and non-recreational daily activities. Jay Bouvier started conducting baseball practice for teenagers with the Bristol Park and Recreation Scott League the following year. In both baseball coaching positions, Jason Bouvier taught the fundamentals of the game, providing lifelong lessons to all of his players. Throughout college, Jason Bouvier supported the Bristol Eastern High School football program as Assistant Coach. Jason Bouvier’s defense strategies helped the freshman team see two successful seasons. Jay Bouvier provided daily training and scouted rival schools in order for the Lancers to gain the biggest advantage on the field. Jason Bouvier taught physical education for the Connecticut Technical School system during the 2008-2009 school year. At Woodside Intermediate School, Jason Bouvier instructed third, fourth, and fifth graders on healthy living and exercising. Jason Bouvier monitored his students’ personal growth and evaluated them on their skills, effort, and participation. Jay Bouvier’s duties also included the implementation of Woodside’s Miracle-Gro program, which demonstrated how physical education could positively affect mathematics and reading standardized test scores. Jason Bouvier furthered his commitment to the school with his participation in campus activities and education fundraisers. Jason Bouvier enjoys the benefits of membership with the Connecticut Association for Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (CTAPHERD). As a part of this non-profit professional organization, Jason Bouvier networks with like-minded professionals, cultivates his professional growth and development, and weighs in on public advocacy projects. Jason Bouvier, Southern Connecticut State University graduate, also holds certification from the Red Cross in infant, child, and adult CPR, as well as Standard First Aid.
